Chatti is a translation chat app. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and what control you have over it. It applies to the Chatti iOS app and its backend service.
Account: your email address (when you sign in with an email code), or your Apple ID identifier. Sign in with Apple may hide your real email behind Apple's private relay — then Chatti only ever sees the relay address.
Content: the texts and photos you translate, and the translations themselves. They are stored on Chatti's server so your history syncs and survives reinstalls.
Nothing else. Chatti has no ads, no trackers, no analytics SDKs, and does not collect your location, contacts, or device identifiers.
Solely to provide the service: producing translations, keeping your chat history, signing you in, and answering support requests. We never sell or share your data for advertising.
Translation is performed by Anthropic's Claude model — the text or photo you translate is sent to Anthropic's API solely to produce the translation.
Sign-in code emails are delivered via Resend. Subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed via RevenueCat. The server runs on DigitalOcean. All traffic between the app, our server and these providers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).
Your data is kept only while your account exists. Deleting your account (Profile → Account → Delete Account) permanently removes your account, all chats, translations and photos from our server.
You can also request deletion or a copy of your data by email — we respond within 30 days.
You can access, correct, export or erase your data at any time. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, this includes your GDPR rights; California residents have equivalent rights under the CCPA.
Chatti is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If this policy changes materially, the app will show the updated version (Profile → Privacy) with a new effective date.
